New Album from The Stone Foxes

The next big thing in blues rock, The Stone Foxes have unleashed the official video for their lead off track, “Everybody Knows.
The Bay Area-based quartet released their highly anticipated third record Small Fires on InGrooves/Fontana on February 12th.
The Stone Foxes have spent the past two years on tour in support of their sophomore album, Bears & Bulls. Known for their bombastic live shows, touring has afforded them the chance to share the stage with bands such as Cage the Elephant, Trombone Shorty and The Black Keys, and they’ve appeared on the bill of some of the nation’s largest music festivals, including: Wakarusa, Outside Lands, Deluna and the Voodoo Music Experience.
The Stone Foxes wrote most of the material for Small Fires on the road, and entered the studio in the summer of 2012 to begin recording with Doug Boehm (Girls, Dr. Dog, Drive by Truckers).
We dove way deeper into what we could do recording wise than we ever had in the past, and we had way less time. I think intentionally recording 12 songs in 12 days kept us really focused. It was a small space, but we really like to play together, get a little bleed and all that. So, it’s more polished – this is our first album captured in a studio instead of a garage – but not too polished [laughs]. We’re finding our own niche, our own tone, what we are, and Doug helped hone that in,” says drummer Shannon Koehler.
